9 whole months!

Up until more recently, I always thought that pregnant ladies had their babies in 9 months. I mean, their 9 month mark was their due date. Then I actually got pregnant and learned that it's 9 whole months. (40 weeks really is more like 10 months, you know.) So, although I hit the "milestone" of 9 months today, I still have another month to go.
My sister Ashley scared the crap out of me yesterday morning by showing up at my doorstep with her 24-day-old son and husband at 9:30 AM. They came down from Utah for a few days and wanted to make sure I saw my nephew, Wyatt.
Cali has started getting the hiccups often. At first, I thought she had discovered a new way to kick me with her back. But, it is so rhythmic and consistant, that it has to be hiccups. Kind of disappointing, I was hoping she was going to pop out as my little drum machine. Oh well, one of her first toys are going to be a set of drumsticks and a practice pad-though. :) (Knowing my luck, she'll grow up and play the Cello or want to be a ballerina).
As the time gets closer, I'm starting to freak out a little bit about the delivery process. I've decided I want to try to do it "aux natural" (aka no epidural), so I've been trying to read up on relaxation techniques. The hospital offers some classes on Tuesday evenings, so Sean and I might be able to go to one or two of them to help prepare us a little more for our upcoming adventure. Worst comes to worst, I go on my own and just give Sean the highlights.
Other than that, life goes on. I see the high-risk doctor on Thursday (for the last time), hopefully my little Steamroller will hold still long enough to get a picture of her. I know she's coming soon enough, but it'd still be fun to have a picture of her (that isn't really creepy) to post on here for all to see.

good luck with the "aux natural"..... i have no idea what to say to that, except i hope it works for you... as for me give me drugs... my kids are painful enough while they are already out and being loud. i figure i deserve one day without pain while they are coming into the world.. then the real pain starts.... he he just kidden

The classes at the hospital should help you feel prepared, but don't forget that there's a TON of reading material out there to supplement the hospital classes.
