So glad to say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010. There are a lot of thing that we are looking forward to this year:
1. Health Insurance-still don't know what's up with Obamacare, but Medi-Cal has finally started allowing applications again, so we can get Cali signed up. I've been reading up on Infant IBS and it seems like Cali might have that, so I want to get her tested as soon as the medical kicks in.
2. Weight loss-Since I started taking my antidepressants again last year, I have gained 60 lbs year-to-date. I hate it. I went from a size 6/8 to a size 14/16. I've never been a particually "skinny" girl, but I would have never considered myself "overweight". Now, when I'm at my parents' house, playing Wii Fit makes me sad when they make my Mii plump up. :( But I found this amazing book called "Lose the weight Gain Caused by Antidepressants" which is going to help me turn my body back into its healthy self. It's going to take a lot of dedication (no more sweets) but I'm really excited for it. Anyone wanting information should check this out: http://www.theroadback.org/weight_loss.htm
3. Get Pregnant with Baby #2-This one I'm really nervous about. My doctor said that there's a 90% chance that I'll be just as sick with my next baby as I was with Cali. There's also a 5% chance that I'll be even more sick. But, I figure I can try one more time. If I am just as sick, then I might have to be done having kids and we'll just have to adopt. There's a program called "AIM" that will cover the pregnancy-even with a pre-existing condition. I think if I am sick that I'm going to write a book or at least keep a journal of what happens to me with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. Just so I really remember what all I went through so I can help others.
4. Potty Training-Cali can already sign toilet and point to her diaper when she feels pressure "down there". Sometimes it only results in gas (we call them "butt burps"), but it's a start. I'm thinking, once we get her tummy issues figured out-we can start potty training. :)
That's all for now.
