So my doctor wants to put me on an IV at, like, all times. So I'd be on long-term bed rest with an at-home nurse coming in to give me my prescriptions and keeping me hydrated. I called our insurance and the doctors were calling insurance to get the "okay" to go ahead and do it. But, apparently, we're not paying enough for our insurance yet, so I don't get the care I need until we up our insurance plan. Of course, this won't come into effect until March 1st. So, for now, we get to continue trying to get me to keep teaspoon-sized sips of water into me and pray that they stay down so that I won't have to go to the ER again. I really don't like the ER.
As the title says, I am now 25 pounds lighter than I was when I originally got pregnate. But, the doctor says that it's okay because that's only 14% of my original body weight. When it gets up to 20%, then we have to worry. So, I've got another 10 lbs to go before I have to stairt worrying. Isn't that great?
I have been really blessed to be in the ward that I am in. There are two women in my ward who have gone through the exact same thing I have and they can totally sympathize with me. I mean, this is not your regular type of "morning sickness" I have here. The best way to describe it is that I've have really bad food poisioning for the past 5 weeks and there's no end in sight. Both the ladies in my ward said that they were throwing up all the way to the delivery table and that, while you're able to keep more foods down after 21 weeks, the throwing up never stops. I'm so excited. They're telling this to the girl who wanted to have 6 kids. Now Sean and I are talking about having 2 naturally and then having to adopt the rest. :( I wish there was some other way. But, apparently, the pregnancies do not get easier with each kid. Actually, statistics show that it's more likely to get worse with each one. Can't wait.
I'm so glad I married Sean. He cleans up my puke bowls, goes out to satisfy my cravings (with the full knowledge that I'm probably not going to be able to keep it down), he cleans the house, he bathes me, and he works full time. And he's not getting any, so I don't even know what he's doing it for. He says it's because he chooses to. I just am so blessed that he picked to have a positive attitude about this whole thing, it helps me have a better attitude about it as well.
The most exciting thing happened to me on Wednesday, I got a wheelchair. This way, I am able to get out of the house if I'm feeling up to it. So far, I haven't felt up to it, but hopefully I'll be able to go on a "walk" with Sean sometime. If anything, it will help me get to and from my doctor appointments. It's a long walk across the parking lot and when you're doubled-over in pain, it makes it an even longer walk.
Also, Sean got me a junior sized frosty at Wendy's and I was able to keep it down! I was soooooo excited! It was the first semi-solid food I'd eaten in weeks.

Wow, I'm sorry you have to go through all of this! I can't believe you've lost 25 lbs, that's insane! (I think by this stage I'd gained 25 lbs..... I sort of blew up like a balloon). But yes, once again, I'm sorry for you. I'll keep you in my prayers!
at least next time you'll be prepared, and know what you're getting in to!
